The City of Sonoma invites the public to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for the Chase Street Bridge Replacement Project. The ceremony will take place on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., on the west side of the Chase Street Bridge located on Chase Street over Nathanson Creek, between Broadway and Austin Ave in Sonoma.
The groundbreaking ceremony serves as an opportunity to recognize our project partners, supporters, and stakeholders and to celebrate the commencement of this vital project, which aims to enhance the safety and efficiency of our city’s transportation infrastructure.
The ceremony will commence promptly at 10:00 a.m. and feature an overview of the project by Public Works Director Mike Berger followed by speeches from local government representatives including Congressman Mike Thompson, Field Representative for California State Senator Bill Dodd – Logan Pitts, and Sonoma Mayor Sandra Lowe. Light refreshments will be provided during the ceremony courtesy of Consor Engineers.
Please Note that Chase Street between Broadway and Austin Ave will be closed to through traffic from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to accommodate the groundbreaking ceremony. We kindly ask that you plan your travel arrangements accordingly.
