The City of Sonoma extends its heartfelt thanks to the volunteers who participated in the Mountain Cemetery Volunteer Workday on October 26th! Our community members’ dedication and hard work significantly impacted the preservation and enhancement of this cherished site.
Led by our Cemeteries Manager, Carolyn Fulton, and supported by the City’s maintenance team, volunteers worked alongside City staff to complete essential landscaping tasks. Together, they filled a 40-yard debris bin, cleared overgrown areas, and added new drought-tolerant succulents to planters, enhancing the beauty and sustainability of the cemetery grounds.
We are grateful to everyone who took the time to join us for this rewarding workday. Your contributions help ensure our cemeteries remain well-kept and inviting. If you missed this workday, we invite you to join us for our next volunteer day at Veterans’ Cemetery on November 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Sonoma Veterans Memorial Park. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, and you’re free to join us for any part of the day.
