At their Monday, August 17th meeting, Sonoma City Council heard presentations by the two remaining store-front retail commercial cannabis business proposers – Matanzas, dba “Justice Grown” and SOSPARC, dba as “SPARC”. Following the presentations, Council voted unanimously to award the Conditional Certificate to SPARC. The conditional certificate entitles SPARC to apply to the City Manager for a Commercial Cannabis Business Permit which requires, among other things, that the finalist first apply for and obtain all applicable land use entitlements, including a use permit.
