The City of Sonoma is proud to join Sonoma County and 23 other jurisdictions in updating the Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan, a critical tool for reducing disaster risk and enhancing community resilience. This collaborative effort will identify strategies to protect lives, property, and infrastructure from natural hazards, such as wildfires, floods, and earthquakes.
We need your input! Sonoma County is asking residents to take a short survey to help identify community needs, gather valuable insights, and inform the mitigation strategies included in the updated plan. Your responses will directly shape the goals and priorities for disaster preparedness in Sonoma and beyond.
Why Your Participation Matters
The Hazard Mitigation Plan enables the City of Sonoma and its partners to remain eligible for FEMA funding to implement projects that reduce disaster risks.
By contributing your perspective, you’ll help ensure that the plan reflects the unique needs of our community and prioritizes the actions that matter most to you.
