Sonoma Names Margaret Hatcher as 2025 Treasure Artist

The City of Sonoma is delighted to announce Margaret Hatcher as the 2025 Treasure Artist Award recipient. A celebrated artist and costume designer, Hatcher is known for her imaginative creations, leadership in the arts community, and commitment to sustainability through projects like Trashion Fashion Sonoma.

Hatcher’s work has enriched Sonoma Valley’s cultural landscape for over 25 years, with contributions spanning local events, theater, public art, and arts education.

The Cultural and Fine Arts Commission unanimously selected Margaret Hatcher at their meeting on November 19, 2024, following an outpouring of support for her nomination.  A public reception will be held in 2025 to honor Hatcher and her achievements.
