The Sonoma County Housing Authority is opening applications for its Project-Based Voucher (PBV) waitlist lotteries starting November 1. Applications will be accepted through November 30 for one- and two-bedroom units at several locations across the county. This opportunity is available for applicants who meet the “extremely low income” threshold, which is defined as earning 30% or less of the area median income.

The waitlists apply to the following locations:

  • Alta Madrone Apartments, Sonoma
  • Fetters Apartments, Sonoma Valley
  • Logan Place, Petaluma
  • Crossroads Apartments, Santa Rosa
  • Fife Creek Commons, Guerneville
  • Windsor Redwoods Apartments, Windsor
  • The Randall Apartments, Healdsburg

To qualify, applicants must provide income information and indicate any preferences. For example, a family of four must earn $41,500 or less annually to meet the income requirement.

How to Apply:

Applications open on November 1 and can be submitted online at www.waitlistcheck.com/CA085 or in person at the Housing Authority’s new office located at 141 Stony Circle, Suite 210, Santa Rosa.

The deadline for in-person submissions is Friday, November 29, by 5 p.m. Online submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, November 30.

Eligibility and Details:

  • The PBV waitlists are for households of one to three people for one-bedroom units and two to five people for two-bedroom units.
  • If your household does not meet the income or size requirements for these lists, additional lotteries with varying income limits and bedroom sizes will be opening in the coming months.
  • It’s important to note that applying for a project-based voucher will not place you on the general Housing Choice Voucher waitlist, which is currently closed and is not expected to reopen until late 2025.
