Social Media Public Comments Policy
PUBLIC COMMENT POLICY
The City of Sonoma uses social media to provide information about City services and programs and to interact with residents, businesses, and visitors about public issues. We encourage you to post comments, but please note that social media is a moderated online discussion site and not a public forum.
By posting anything to this a City social media site, you agree to the following terms:
- Users warrant that they own or have permission to post information contained in their posting, including but not limited to video, photos, or digital reproductions
- Users of this site do not retain any rights over their postings. Postings are intended for public view and any personal information posted constitutes a waiver of any rights to privacy or confidentiality.
- Once posted, the City of Sonoma reserves the right to delete submissions that contain vulgar language, personal attacks of any kind, or comments that promote, foster, or perpetuate discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, or sexual orientation.
- The City of Sonoma also reserves the right to delete comments that: are spam or include unrelated links to other sites; are clearly off-topic; advocate illegal activity or violate any local, state, or federal laws; promote particular services, products, or political organizations; or infringe on copyrights or trademarks.
Please note that the comments expressed on this site do not necessarily reflect the opinions or positions of the City of Sonoma, its officers, agents, affiliates, or employees.
