Public involvement is crucial to the City’s decision-making process and appointed advisory bodies in the form of commissions and committees are an important and valued part of our City government. These commissions and committees are charged with focusing on key issues within Sonoma and then providing feedback, recommendations, and support to Sonoma City Council on those issues.
The City of Sonoma is excited to announce open positions on various commissions and committees, following recent updates to the Commission & Committee Appointment Process.
Interested individuals are invited to apply for two at-large positions on the Climate Action Commission, Design Review & Historic Preservation Commission, Parks, Recreation & Open Space Commission, and Traffic Safety Committee.
Apply by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024, through the City’s Civic Web Portal. The online application can be accessed by selecting the “Commission Application” tile and then “Apply.”
