Santa Rosa City and Sonoma County to Host Rebuilding Community Meeting on February 15

The City of Santa Rosa and County of Sonoma encourage residents rebuilding from the October 2017 wildfires to bring their questions to a Rebuilding Community Meeting on Thursday, February 15, 2018. The joint City-County meeting will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Finley Community Center located at 2060 West College Avenue in Santa Rosa.

City and County staff will provide an overview of the rebuilding permit process for those who live in the city limits and those who live in the unincorporated areas of the county. Residents will be able to get their specific questions answered by Permit Department officials and representatives from other departments of the City and County.

Officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will also provide an update on the government-sponsored debris removal program. The Contractors State License Board will be in attendance to offer property owners advice on selecting a contractor for their rebuild.

The City of Santa Rosa and County of Sonoma have both set up permit centers dedicated to the rebuilding effort.  Santa Rosa’s Resilient City Permit Center is located at City Hall, 100 Santa Rosa Avenue Room 6, and is open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The County’s Resiliency Permit Center is located adjacent to the existing Permit Sonoma offices at 448 Fiscal Drive in Santa Rosa and will open Tuesday, February 13. The Resiliency Permit Center hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
