The City of Sonoma has officially released a Request for Proposals (RFP) inviting Professional Services Consultants to submit proposals for on-call structural engineering services. The RFP outlines the city’s requirements and expectations for potential consultants.
The schedule of events from the issuance of the RFP to the award of the contract is as follows:
- RFP Distributed: March 12, 2024
- Questions Due: March 27, 2024
- Responses to Questions: April 3, 2024
- Proposals Due: April 11, 2024
- Contract Authorization (anticipated): May 1, 2024
Prospective consultants are urged to direct all inquiries to Mike Berger, Public Works Director. The City emphasizes that individuals or firms interested in submitting proposals should refrain from contacting other City of Sonoma staff or Council members before the official announcement of the selected consultant.

Proposal Closing Date:
The deadline for submitting proposals is 5:00 p.m. on April 11, 2024. Consultants must provide four (4) bound hardcopies and one (1) unbound hardcopy of their proposals to the City. Proposals not received by the specified time and date will not be accepted. All proposals will become part of the official files of the City of Sonoma and will be returned.
