The County of Sonoma Department of Public Health has increased community COVID-19 testing sites as part of the enhanced program to reduce COVID-19 transmission, including a weekly pop up testing site at the Sonoma Park & Ride, Hwy 12 & E Thomson on Mondays from 9 – 11 a.m.
Testing appointments for pop-up locations (as well as other locations) are available by calling (707) 565-4667. Testing is available in many locations, on a recurring weekly schedule. Additional Pop-Up test sites are added each week, including Saturdays. See the County’s Pop-up Testing Calendar for current options.
Everyone is allowed to receive a test, regardless of immigration status. It also doesn’t matter if they are symptomatic or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19. There are no out-of-pocket costs for testing, and no identification is required. For those who have insurance, their insurance providers will be billed. If individuals do not have insurance, they can still get a test for no cost.
Results from County testing typically come back in 3 days or less. You will be notified at the contact email or phone number that you provide when you take your test. Please remember, when checking your email for results, kindly check your bulk mail folder. If you do not get an email or call after 4 days, call 2-1-1 to speak to the COVID-19 Hotline team.
Those with a positive test result will receive a follow-up phone call from a Public Health nurse to get information for contact tracing and to direct you to support you may need while you are infected.
The County will be providing financial assistance and resources to protect individuals in our highly impacted areas. Check if you can receive a gift card for getting tested, and over $1,000 if you need to isolate.
