Volunteers play an important role in the operations of the Sonoma Police Department. Through the Police Explorer Program, individuals age 15-20 learn skills valuable to pursuing a career in law enforcement. The Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) Program utilizes adult volunteers who contribute through their work in the field and/or office.
