
The City of Sonoma’s Cultural and Fine Arts Commission (CFAC) is excited to announce that entries are now open for the 2025 Student Creative Artist Award! Since its inception in 1988, this program has recognized over 80 talented student artists, awarding more than $60,000 to help them further their artistic growth. This program recognizes outstanding high school juniors and seniors who reside within the Sonoma Valley Unified School District and excel in the visual, literary, or performing arts.
Up to $2,000 in awards available for outstanding student artists!
How to Apply:
✔️ Submit an online application with samples of your work
✔️ Include a 250–500-word Artist Statement about your creative journey
✔️ Students may enter multiple disciplines (one entry per discipline)
✔️ Submit your entry via the Online Entry Form on the City’s website
Deadline to Apply: Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM
Finalist Interviews: Qualified entrants will be notified by April 9, 2025, and must be available for an evening interview during the CFAC’s regular meetings on April 15 or April 22.
Judging Criteria: Submissions will be reviewed by CFAC commissioners using detailed rubrics, which can be found on the online entry form.
