Anyone interested in running for City Council is required to complete the filing nomination process. The nomination period for the 2018 General Municipal Election opened on Monday, July 16, 2018, and closes at 5:00 pm, Friday, August 10, 2018. If one of the incumbents does not file, the nomination period will be extended to 5:00 pm, Wednesday, August 15, 2018.
To obtain nomination papers, contact the City Clerk’s Office at (707) 933-2216 and schedule an appointment. During the meeting with the City Clerk, candidates will be given a Candidate Information Guide containing useful information and regulations regarding their campaign. They will also receive documents to complete and file by the end of the nomination period.
