Public Works Director Colleen Ferguson is pleased to announce that Erica Warren is the City’s new Environmental Compliance Analyst. She began her new role on Tuesday, December 7th. As the City’s Environmental Compliance Analyst, Ms. Warren is responsible for the City’s stormwater permit program and other environmental programs, as well as developing and maintaining geographic information systems (GIS), asset inventories, maps, and technical reports for the Public Works Department.
Ms. Warren was selected as the top candidate from a pool of highly qualified applicants in an open recruitment process. Ms. Warren comes to the City with experience working for the health of Sonoma Creek through the Sonoma Ecology Center in post-fire toxin containment and the coordination of the creek stewardship program. Prior to that, she worked for over two years in utility-scale environmental monitoring of construction projects, protecting water quality and listed species under the ESA, and as a researcher of habitat restoration success of wetlands, pools, and vegetation within the riparian corridor. Ms. Warren holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management/Ecology from the University of San Francisco.
