In August and September of 2017, the City of Sonoma Planning Commission approved separate applications for the development of three residences on three lots in northeast Sonoma (at Fourth Street East and Brazil Street) having a zoning designation of Hillside Residential. Those approvals were subsequently appealed to the City Council. A public hearing date for the appeals had been noticed for February 5, 2017.
The City of Sonoma will be continuing the appeals from February 5th to a new date. The new hearing date will be publicly announced at the meeting of February 5, 2018. This means that apart from setting a new hearing date and continuing the appeal hearings to it, no action will be taken on the appeals at the meeting of February 5th.
Friday, January 26 was the deadline for the applicants and appellants to submit any additional information that they wanted to have included in the agenda packet for the February 5th scheduled appeal hearing. On that date, the City received additional information that requires review and analysis. In order to be fully prepared for the appeal hearing, the City needs additional time to review the submittals.
Once the revised hearing date has been set, it will be communicated to applicants, the appellants, and the public.
