Lighting of the Historic Sonoma Plaza Ceremony

Experience Sonoma Valley California as we celebrate the sixth annual Holidays in Sonoma. Enjoy 8-acres of 100,000+ sparkling lights, music and performances, holiday treats and more. On Saturday, November 17, Holidays in Sonoma kicks off with the Lighting of the Historic Sonoma Plaza. The acclaimed Transcendence Theatre Company will be back for the fifth year, to perform a musical holiday tribute to the destination.

The event will also include presentations by community leaders, and a live band performance on stage in front of City Hall. Hot cider, hot chocolate, and cookies are complimentary. Beer from Sonoma Springs and wine from the Sonoma Valley Vintners and Growers Alliance will be available for purchase. Tasty food will be available via our local food trucks.

The lights on the Historic Sonoma Plaza will be lit each night November 17 – December 31, 2018.

The City of Sonoma is a sponsor of the Lighting of the Plaza, which is using “zero-emissions EverGreen energy” from Sonoma Clean Power.
