The City of Sonoma’s Cultural and Fine Arts Commission (CFAC) encourages high school junior and senior artist to apply for the 2024 Student Creative Artist Award for a chance to win $2,000. The submission deadline is April 5, 2024.
Interested student artists are encouraged to submit an online application. The submission should include samples of their finest work and a 200-500 word “Artist Statement,” describing the role of art in their life and outlining their plans for artistic development. The online entry form is accessible on the City’s website.
Notification of finalists will be sent out by April 15, 2024, and those selected must be available for an in-person interview with CFAC commissioners during their special meeting on April 25, 2024. Successful candidates will be eligible for cash awards of up to $2,000, aimed at fostering their artistic abilities, education, or career.
