Description: Sonoma Valley Regional Park is in the heart of the Sonoma Valley, adjacent to the Wine Country town of Glen Ellen. The park is known for its oak woodlands and features several miles of trails, a seasonal creek, picnic tables and a dog park.

A grassy picnic and barbecue area under the shade of large oaks is adjacent to the main parking lot accessed from Highway 12. Spring brings colorful displays of poppies, lupine and other wildflowers. The Elizabeth Perrone Dog Park, also next to the parking lot, offers a fenced area for dogs to play off-leash.

The park’s main trail, the paved Valley of the Moon Trail, runs through an oak woodland between Highway 12 and Arnold Drive. It is wheelchair-accessible, as are some of the picnic areas and there’s an accessible portable restroom. Unpaved trails link to surrounding ridges and feature valley views. Trails are open to hikers, bikers and equestrians.

The park is open from 8 a.m. until sunset. Parking is $7 or free for Regional Parks members.
