Description: Hanna Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of youth, families, and communities impacted by trauma and adversity. Rooted in Sonoma Valley and serving the greater Bay Area, Hanna provides a comprehensive continuum of care that includes mental health services, residential support, training, and community-based recreation.
Founded after World War II to support orphaned and abandoned boys, Hanna has evolved to meet the changing needs of the community. Its residential program has helped more than 4,000 youth and now includes housing and support for those aging out of foster care, as well as vocational and independent living programs.
Hanna’s Community Mental Health Hub offers accessible clinical care, including one-on-one counseling and group therapy for individuals of all ages. These services are available in multiple languages and delivered in welcoming, inclusive settings designed to support healing and growth.
The Hanna Institute extends the organization’s impact nationwide, training individuals, practitioners, and organizations in the trauma-informed methods that guide all of Hanna’s work. Through this leadership, Hanna helps disrupt cycles of trauma and build lasting well-being across generations.
Hanna Recreation brings people together through year-round events and activities that promote connection, well-being, and healthier lifestyles. From sports and nature outings to creative workshops and community gatherings, these programs foster a sense of belonging and fun for people of all ages in a safe, supportive environment.
Together, these services reflect Hanna Center’s commitment to compassionate, integrative care. Facilities are also available for rental to the broader community.
