Sonoma, CA – February 14, 2025 – The City of Sonoma and the Cultural and Fine Arts Commission are excited to announce a special reception to honor Margaret Hatcher as the 2025 Sonoma Treasure Artist. This free community event will take place on April 4, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sonoma Community Center.
Enjoy a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception while celebrating Margaret’s artistic achievements. The reception will feature the delightful sounds of Crème Brülée, a two-woman show that transports listeners to a 1930s café in bohemian Paris. Leta Davis and Ruth Edwards, who have been playing violin and accordion together for many years, will provide a nostalgic musical backdrop for the evening.
During the event, there will be a short program in which local and regional elected officials will recognize Margaret’s extraordinary contributions to the arts. Margaret will also be presented with various honors and acknowledgments in celebration of her selection as the 2025 Treasure Artist.
Guests are encouraged, but not required, to wear a costume or a piece of a costume (such as a hat) in honor of Margaret’s preferred medium—costume design.
While the event is free to attend, a suggested donation of $10 is welcomed to help support the event. Any funds raised beyond event costs will directly support the Student Creative Artist Awards, which nurture the next generation of artists and creatives in Sonoma Valley.

Celebrate the 2025 Trashion Fashion Season with Margaret Hatcher
As part of the 2025 Trashion season, Margaret Hatcher will be participating in the annual Trashion Fashion Runway Show on April 19, 2025, at the Sonoma Veterans Memorial Hall. This signature event celebrates creative waste management through the innovative use of recycled materials in fashion. Trashion Fashion includes a runway show, workshops, a gallery exhibit, and more, with entries now open until March 14, 2025.
