The City of Sonoma has taken another important step toward achieving its Zero Emissions goals by adding two all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning trucks to the Public Works fleet. These vehicles will support essential city services while contributing to the City’s commitment to sustainability and a cleaner environment.

Specifically listed under Recommended and Priority Climate Actions for Government Operations, the addition of electric vehicles (EVs) supports Sonoma’s goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in municipal operations.

This initiative is a key part of Sonoma’s Climate Action Plan, which aims to promote clean energy and sustainable transportation.

“We are proud to incorporate electric vehicles into our fleet,” said Sonoma Mayor John Gurney. “This investment not only advances the City’s sustainability goals but also shows the community that EVs can be an effective solution for essential operations.”
