Finance & Utilities

The Finance Division  assists the City Manager in developing, monitoring and administering the City's operating and capital budget and coordinating long-range financial planning.  The Division handles all accounting and financial duties for the City, the Sonoma Successor Agency (former Sonoma Community Development Agency) and the Valley of the Moon Fire Protection District under a separate contractual agreement.

Finance is responsible for the following functions: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Utility Billing, Transient Occupancy Tax, Business Licenses, Payroll, General Ledger, Cash Management, Investments, Budgets and Financial Reporting.
